The "New Literary Observer" publishing house has launched a new podcast — "Art History as a Detective Story"!

Publishing books on art has always been one of the main focuses of "NLO" — we have a book series "Art Studies", we publish books on unofficial art, on outstanding artists, and on specific artistic movements and eras. In our podcast, we will analyze art as a code, trying to see in artworks not just objects for contemplation, but entry points into the complex contexts of history, culture, and society. Paintings, sculptures, buildings — these are encrypted letters. Let's read them together.

In the first season, we will release recordings of discussions from our joint project with the Museum of Russian Impressionism, and then we will continue to explore art like detectives.
